Lundi, 11 Mars 2013: Le Scoop

Andréa and I had been sending messages back and forth all morning about how we missed each other. We had already spent all weekend together so we weren't planning on seeing each other today. He called me when he got off work though and asked if I wanted to go to Carry Le Rouet to have dinner with his dad and step-mom tonight. Pierre said something about wanting to 'take advantage of time with Melinda while she's in France.' So sweet :-) I love Andréa's dad...

My gentleman came to Aix to pick me up. He hung out with the kids and helped them with their homework until maman got home to relieve me of my duties. Though there was road work and traffic jams on the way to Carry, we still made it there in decent time. When we walked into Pierre and Chantal's house, we were greeted by the usual purpliness. If you've forgotten, Chantal is obsessed with the color purple so everything in their house is some sort of violet-shade. Surprisingly though, Chantal wasn't wearing any purple today, but Pierre was. Ha haha :-) I love these quirky personalities. They make life more interesting!

Carry Le Rouet is a small Mediterranean town so we were able to walk to the ocean-front restaurant, Le Scoop. The restaurant was split into two levels, pretty spacious with a good color theme. I really liked the ambience in there. Though it was after 20h00, the restaurant was packed full of people wanting to enjoy all of their culinary wonders. The menu was vast but most everyone that visits orders from the 'formule' pages. These are dinner specials much like we have back in the states where you can get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for one straight price. I'll leave the pictures of the food for the end of the post, but I'm serious when I say this y'all, the portions were IMMENSE!!! Everyone was full after the appetizer but everything is so delicious, you just can't stop! You definitely got your money's worth, more really! And everything was absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend that you visit this restaurant if you're ever in Carry Le Rouet! It's affordable and it's worth a visit!!!
