We all woke up to Lassay hollering the next morning. It was breakfast time! We all ate our Moroccan toast with Argan butter and drank some of the best coffee I've ever had! It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth...Spices are responsible for the distinct but oh so delicious flavor! After much research, I have found that Moroccan coffee is a special mixture of Arabica beans grown in the Côte d'Ivoire mixed with a blend of ground nutmeg, black pepper corns, cinnamon bark, sesame and cumin seeds. Re-creating this caffeinated Heaven called Nus Nus has become a new hobby of mine. I won't stop until I find the perfect coffee to spice to milk ratio!!!
After breakfast, the lot of us went around and took some last minute pictures. The desert was truly beautiful in daylight. We are so blessed. The camels took us back to the main road to meet our drivers for another day of tourist trapping. It was another 9 hour bus ride back to Marrakech with a bunch of new, intriguing stops on the way. No matter how interesting the location though, I couldn't let go of the desert...The Sahara will forever be a part of me.
